What We're About

The world of 2020 was full of bad news, an economic crisis, a global pandemic, and numerous other issues that consume our day to day life. Now is a perfect time to start a movement. A movement where people spread their own good noise. One that props people up, promotes the bands that are keeping all of us sane, and pushes our communities to be better. Our plan is to become a hub of concert dates of local artists who are integral to the community fabric of Nashville and Charleston, a platform that celebrates the good news of the world, and reminds us that we all can spread good noise no matter where we are.

No matter who you are, you can find something that fits your style here. Whether you like folk music, EDM, hip-hop and rap, or anything in between, there is a place for you at Make Good Noise. We know that different people have different perspectives. But that doesn’t mean it’s not good noise. They’re all looking for the same thing - making this world one.

Originally from Richmond, VA, he graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South where he played lacrosse, fell in love with music, and spread his good noise - even if it didn’t have a name at the time.

Co-Founder

The right hand man of Stew. The hype man of the hype man. The guy who was driving the car when this idea was hatched. Professional gas up guy who can talk to a brick wall if need be. Hailing from Athens, GA and attended the University of North Carolina before becoming an educator, Sam knows the importance of good noise for students. Firmly anti-bully, he believes that Make Good Noise could not only promote amazing bands, but change the lives of students across the country.

What We're About: Team Members

our gameplan

Our goal first and foremost is to spread positivity - or good noise as we call it - in our day to day lives and urge others to do the same. That's something that each and everyone of us can control. Our plan to promote that spreading of good noise is two-fold..

1. Through good music - Letting you know what musicians are coming to your area, what up and coming bands hit, and promoting those bands that not only sound good but do good. Call us the Rotten Tomatoes of tunes and tasty jams.

2. Through schools - Whether it be social media, bullying, the never ending news, or the stress that comes with this new world, students can often feel drowned by all of the negativity. By working with students, we can flip that switch and show them the power of good noise not only on their own psyche but on others
